Construction/Layout
A friend suggested a "pool" in the middle of our RV setup. I thought that would complement the motel theme pretty well -- blue tarp, with foam underneath, surrounded by astroturf. We'll stake down the tarp and attach the Astroturf around the edges...

I've replaced the whacked-out (and über-bendy) 10' PVC parachute center support. It's now 12' high (two 6' joined sections of 1/2" galvanized steel pipe with a 4" base plate). That's a few inches taller than the RV's. -MB

Astroturf Sources:
- We actually found that Homo Depot has the cheapest fake grass. ($180 for 6'x80') The salesman looked nothing like any of these pictures.
- A note aboot Astroturf from IBDaveAstroturf is a BIG MOOP source. It just breaks off the tips and makes a mess. Look at the thin carpet at home depot as a idea. If you use Carpet. TAPE the edge with GOOD duct tape to keep it from fraying.
Lighting Sources:
- Some really cool lighting effect stuff
- Electroluminescent stuff
- Local EL wire seller in Oakland (20% off if you apply coupon code "JRS" during July, 10% off any other time)
- LED Strip Lighting (if we line the top of each RV, assuming they're all 32ft long, that would cost $672)
- Luminous Paint
- Bizarre Lighting Stuff

Laser Pointers:
For the sides of the RVs
An idea for this year is to construct a 3 sided tent structure and pull the RVs up to the sides and tie them down.
Alternately (read: cheaper) we could just buy the white tarps listed here. We would perhaps paint the sides, it has been suggested we do it with Glow Paint:
