This is my advice for washing fur
For Short and Medium length fur, up to 1/2 an inch in length:
- Make it a medium to large size laundry load. Don't stuff the washer full!
- Machine Wash Cold
- When they come out, shake out each article of clothing thoroughly. Make sure the fur isn't wet and matted down, if it is, you haven't shaken it out well enough. Note that a lot of lint typically comes off of these.
- Put in dryer, no heat, and run for about an hour. It should come out pretty dry.
For Long fur:
- Make it a medium size laundry load. Leave some extra space in the washer.
- Machine Wash Cold
